Time to Pray for the Muslim World

Today marks the beginning of Ramadan, the holiest period of the Muslim year. The closest Christian analogy to Ramadan is Lent. Both are periods of prayer, spiritual reflection, almsgiving, and fasting for their respective faiths.

And Since 1993, the “30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World” prayer guide has equipped Christians to pray for Muslims during Ramadan. This international movement calls on “the church to make a deliberate but respectful effort to learn about, pray for and reach out to our world’s Muslim neighbors.”

In fact, for the last several decades, God has been breaking through to many Muslims in dreams, in the reading of Holy Scripture, missions and other ways, resulting in many Muslims converting to Christ. Now is a great time to pray for them, since during Ramadan many Muslims are seeking to hear from God.

Come to BreakPoint.org, and I’ll link you to the 30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World prayer guide.
