C.S. Lewis wrote that “God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world.”
In the midst of the chaos surrounding this global pandemic, people have lost lives and livelihoods, both acts of charity and acts of despair are on the rise, and food shortages, economic damage, and political unrest are all potentials on the horizon.
If Lewis is right, what is God saying to a deaf world? What is He saying to a deaf church?
We put this question to over 20 Christian leaders, theologians, and authors, and compiled their answers in an online symposium at BreakPoint.org.
And since the COVID-19 outbreak began, we’ve created a series of BreakPoint commentaries called “Worldview Lessons from the Coronavirus,” which confront issues of utopianism, misinformation, science and experts, the value of human life, non-essential churches and more.
Come to BreakPoint.org for the symposium and our “Lessons from the Coronavirus” series.
