As a pastor and church planter in Sierra Leone, this year’s Wilberforce Award recipient Shodankeh Johnson has faced serious threats and danger. Here’s Pastor Shodankeh:
The other time they sent me the picture of bin Laden on my phone and they said, “You are next.” That means you are next in line to die. Well, we all know what [bin Laden] was doing. I saw that picture. I just prayed about it, and I said, “What can I do with this picture?” And so, what I did was that I took the picture of bin Laden, and I put the picture of Jesus with the same words on it, “You are next,” and I sent it to the same number. It means you are next in line to be saved.
Join us at the Colson Center National Conference in Indianapolis, May 19-21, as we recognize the extraordinary life of Pastor Shodankeh Johnson with the 2023 Wilberforce Award.
