The Legacy of Phillip Johnson

11/6/19

John Stonestreet

Last weekend, a true giant of Christian worldview went home to his Creator. Phillip Johnson, father of the modern Intelligent Design Movement and author of the groundbreaking book “Darwin on Trial” died at age 79.

Today on the BreakPoint Podcast, Colson Center President John Stonestreet welcomes a man who knew Johnson well: Dr. Jay Richards, senior fellow at the Discovery Institute. Together they discuss Johnson’s important legacy, not only in unmasking neo-Darwinism as more of an intellectual “sleight of hand”  than a truly scientific endeavor,  but also Johnson’s dismantling of philosophical materialism.

They also reflect on Johnson’s journey to faith and his extraordinary humility and kindness, which extended to those who disagreed with him vehemently.
