Logic, logic, what are they teaching kids these days? For the Colson Center, I’m John Stonestreet with The Point.
Recently on “The View,” a show I’ve talked about too many times lately, Joy Behar compared Christian belief to mental illness. “It’s one thing to talk about Jesus,” she said. “It’s another thing when Jesus talks to you. That’s called mental illness, if I’m not correct, hearing voices.”
Not only was her comment offensive to Christians everywhere, and disrespectful to Vice President Mike Pence (whom she was aiming at), it was odd, given what she said a few months ago on the show to Masterpiece Cakeshop Owner Jack Phillips.
“Jesus would’ve made the cake,” Behar said to Phillips, whose refusal to bake a cake for a same-sex wedding is the center of a very important Supreme Court case. Really? How does she know?
She’s never met Jesus. The Bible doesn’t address this question. Did Jesus tell her this? Wouldn’t that, by her own standards, make her mentally ill?
Making up what Jesus says is far worse than hearing from Him, don’t you think?
