The Point: Best Books for Christmas

John Stonestreet

Give the gift of good reading this Christmas. For the Colson Center, I’m John Stonestreet with The Point.

My BreakPoint cohost, Eric Metaxas, recently proposed three outstanding new books for the family and friends on your Christmas list.

First, for parents: “A Practical Guide to Culture,” which I co-wrote with Brett Kunkle. It charts the hidden lies and undercurrents that students face today, and helps us help them navigate these waters.

Next for the young-uns: “Cold-Case Christianity for Kids,” approaches the claims of our faith with a forensic eye. Former L.A. detective, J. Warner Wallace and wife, Susie, evaluate and validate the story of the gospels with some of the same tools that cold-case investigators use. This one is written for kids, who will love it!

Finally, the outstanding new biography by Metaxas. “Martin Luther: The Man Who Rediscovered God and Changed the World” will introduce readers to the German monk whose protest sparked the Reformation 500 years ago.

Come to BreakPoint.org, click on this commentary, and we’ll link you to all of these amazing alternatives to giving your loved ones another pair of socks this Christmas.
