Keep going!  For the Colson Center, I’m John Stonestreet with The Point.

So you and your spouse are both miserable. You can’t communicate, you disagree on virtually everything. And intimacy? Forget it. And even worse, it’s been this way for years.

It seems like you’re in a marital hell. So what can you do?

According to Kay Warren, wife of Pastor Rick Warren, you keep going. In a remarkable article at Christianity Today, she shares almost uncomfortable details of the pain and anguish she and Rick fought through—including years of counseling that seemed to be going nowhere, and of course, the mental illness and tragic suicide of their son.

It’s taken years of faith, hard work, and the help of friends to survive. “And now we know,” Kay writes in the article, “We know we are the best thing that has ever happened to each other.”

If you need help for your marriage, a little inspiration to keep working at it, please take a look at Kay’s article, “We Were in Marital Hell.” I’ll link you to it at BreakPoint.org.
