A great read about a great man. For the Colson Center, I’m John Stonestreet with The Point.
October 31st marks the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther nailing his 95 theses on the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg and launching the Protestant Reformation.
The Reformation birthed the modern world. But to understand why and how, you have to understand Martin Luther. Which is why you need to read Eric Metaxas’s new biography, “Martin Luther: The Man Who Rediscovered God and Changed the World.”
Look, there are plenty of good biographies about Luther and his faith, his struggles, and his theology. Eric provides all that and more. He paints a vivid picture of a brilliant but utterly human reformer whose understanding of justification by faith turned the tide of Christianity and the world.
It’s a great read. WORLD Magazine’s Marvin Olasky calls Eric “the best storyteller among the Luther biographers.”
So do yourself a favor: Commemorate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation by reading Eric Metaxas’s “Martin Luther.” Find out more at our online bookstore at BreakPoint.org.
