The Inequality of the Equality Act

02/24/21

John Stonestreet

Last week, House Democrats introduced the Equality Act, which would make gender identity and sexual orientation protected classes in the Civil Rights Act of 1964, forcing compliance in areas of public accommodation and education.

To be clear, you should only care about the Equality Act if you are a Christian, or a person of faith, or a woman, or own a business, or run a non-profit, or go to school, or teach at a school, or have kids in school, or are a medical or mental-health professional, or (especially) are a female athlete, or under the age of 18, or ever use a public restroom. This is a big deal.

The House is set to pass the legislation, and President Biden is behind it. Still, it faces significant obstacles in the Senate. So, please contact your Senators and let them know to oppose the “Equality” Act. And come to BreakPoint.org for more resources to share with others.
