The Point: Join Us as We Honor Robert Woodson, Sr.
Tomorrow we honor a modern-day Wilberforce.
In 1987 Chuck Colson established the William Wilberforce Award to honor those who show courage and perseverance in the face of injustice and opposition, as did the 18th-century Christian statesman William Wilberforce, whose efforts ended the slave trade in the British Empire.
The honor has been bestowed on Filipino martyr Benigno Aquino, Joni Eareckson Tada, Professor Robert George, Rwandan Bishop John Rucyahana, and many others who heroically lived out their Christian faith.
Tomorrow, we honor Robert Woodson, Sr., whose leadership has revitalized communities. The Woodson Center has helped transform the lives of former drug addicts, prostitutes, and the homeless.
There’s no secret to his success. As Woodson says, “Faith in God transforms the inside, and that faith transforms the outside.”
Join us via livestream, tomorrow night beginning at 7:00 eastern, for the award ceremony. All you have to do is register—for free—at NRBtv.org/live, or go to BreakPoint’s Facebook page.
