As reported in WORLD magazine, ThinkRight Strategies is a marketing group that “creates websites, slogans, and speeches for politicians and organizations promoting conservative and Christian views on government, marriage, and the sanctity of life.”
So, ThinkRight Strategies declines to create marketing strategies for left-leaning, pro-abortion organizations. But that violates a new Ann Arbor, Michigan city ordinance that prohibits public service providers from discriminating on the basis of religion, race, sex, gender preference, and – I’m not kidding – on the basis of political beliefs!
ThinkRight turned to the Alliance Defending Freedom and is suing to prevent Ann Arbor from enforcing this clearly unconstitutional violation of free speech.
As ADF Senior Counsel Jonathan Scruggs said, “government should not be forcing citizens to champion political causes that violate their deepest convictions.”
That a city council would even consider such an ordinance, much less pass it, shows how much we need better civic education, not to mention organizations like ADF.
