Grievance studies?

With all the politically correct madness in academia these days, if you believed there were such a thing as “grievance studies,” you might be forgiven. But academic journals shouldn’t be.

Over the last year, three professors sent fake “grievance studies” papers to different academic journals. One paper claimed dog-parks were “rape-condoning spaces.” Another reworked a long section from Hitler’s “Mein Kampf” into their paper. And one advocated that “privileged students” shouldn’t be permitted to speak in class.

As reported on the website Quillette, seven such hoax papers passed academic peer review and were accepted for publication—revealing yet again just how far ideology has replaced learning.

Instead of cursing the darkness, what an opportunity for Christian institutions to step into the void—to ground learning in eternal principles, and to present a sweeping vision about meaning and the purpose in life.

For centuries Christians led the way in education. It’s time to reclaim the mantle.
